Running a successful school in two point campus It involves providing the best education and facilities. However, there is no reason why your students shouldn’t play as hard as they work. Keeping students happy can be difficult, but one of the easiest ways to do it is to make friends between students.
Building friendships between students is really essential when running a campus as it affects the happiness of the students which consequently affects their grades. Academic performance can also affect your earnings, and keeping students happy is your best bet to avoid dropping out. Building friendships between students is also one of the cheapest ways to improve student happiness, so it should be a priority from the beginning.
How do friendships between students work?
As students wander around campus, they can randomly pass by other students and begin to socialize. This will develop into a romantic relationship or, more commonly, a student friendship. As two students socialize more, they will begin to deepen their relationship and your friendship level will go upfurther improving your overall mood.
Friendship levels move from Level 1 (Friends), Level 2 (Good Friends), Level 3 (Best Friends) and Level 4 (Giga Chums). Students’ happiness improves more when friendships are at higher levels. However, bumping into other students in the hallway is not the ideal setting for making friends, and friendship levels will not improve this way.
After starting a friendship, students will need to use social items, like a park bench, to further improve your friendship level. You can check which items will enhance friendships in their description box before purchasing. Each social item will also have a level assigned to it which will affect which students can use them. For example, students on friendship level 1 will only be able to socialize on level 1 items until their relationship levels up. Make sure to decorate your campus with level 1 items first, so friendships can level up enough to use better items.
You can see a breakdown of your school’s relationships in the campus overview. go to the Student Summary section and click on the relationships tab. On this page, you will be able to see how many friendships have been formed between students and at what level these friendships are. You’ll also be able to see how satisfied students are with the relationships in their lives in the State Distribution Tab. If too many of your students are in the red, you’ll need to invest in relationship items.

Tips for building friendships between students:
As you can see, building friendships between students is mostly based on the items you place around your campus, but there are plenty of ways to maximize its effectiveness.
Many relationship elements are duplicated and contribute to your campus in other ways. For example, the water cooler is a relationship item and also keeps students hydrated, making it multifunctional. A bench press is a similar item in that develops friendships between students and contributes to their health. This is a great way to meet student needs without taking up extra space.
Another tip is to place relationship items in spaces that students are drawn to. Students will spend their free time in Student and union rooms, so max out those rooms. Holding events like SU Party encourages students to move into these rooms as well. Every hallway on your campus should be able to fit a water cooler or indoor bench, or both. And if you have a lot of outdoor kiosks or clubs, place several social tables around the area to create a kind of social hub. Students who go to the kiosks out of hunger and thirst can stay and congregate around these relationship elements.
